Two of Reno’s well known classical music performers join in a
memorable evening of classical piano and cello duos. Peter
Lenz, cellist joins Allan Fuller, pianist in a performance
that includes cello sonatas by Beethoven and Brahms.
Allan Fuller
has been presenting solo recitals locally and abroad. He has
been piano instructor at the University of Nevada-Reno,
concerto soloist, and chamber musician. In both 1999 and 2000,
Mr. Fuller was selected to compete with 100 international
pianists in the International Piano Competition for
Outstanding Amateurs under the sponsorship of the Van Cliburn
Foundation. In conjunction with the competition, his pianism
and professional occupations were featured on “Good Morning
America.” His European debut took place in Vienna in 2000, and
he has continued to present well-received recitals in Vienna
and the U.S. Mr. Fuller's vocation currently lies in a 26-year
career in the Casino Industry as he is currently the Executive
Director of Table Games at John Ascuaga’s Nugget in Reno
Nevada.
Peter Lenz
has been principal cello of the Reno Philharmonic since 1982.
He is also principal cellist with the Reno Chamber orchestra,
and has performed as a guest principal cellist with the Las
Vegas Symphony. Although orchestral performance is his
primary interest, Peter has performed as soloist with a number
of orchestras in northern Nevada, including the RPO, as well
as extensive chamber music appearances. Mr. Lenz holds B.S.
and M.S. degrees in Mining Engineering from the Mackay School
of Mines, University of Nevada – Reno, and is a Licensed
Professional Engineer in the State of Nevada.
